About eTown Shopping
Originally designed by founder and marketing applications developer Murray Wennerlund in 1997, the Electronic Town Shopping Mall project started on paper then was setup in 2006 online for testing. The beginning of 2008 sounded the call for the final development phase and today eTown Shopping is alive and well online.
eTownShopping.Com started out with a very simple idea that grew over the years. Creating a world class shopping mall with full SEO, SEM, Content Management (CMS), Order Management (OMS) wasn't and still today isn't an easy task.
The original tool list that started eTown Shopping list was very simple.

In those old days, programming special applications was limited. We could not have created what we can create today back then. But with the tools listed above we still write new ideas and keep these ideas safe until technology matches what we have designed. Those old notes are still around today and are just as valuable and possibly even more as you can see from eTown Shopping.

Hello and Welcome to eTown Shopping. I'm Murray, founder, developer and all around program manager of the eTown Shopping Mall.
For those that I haven't had the opportunity to talk or email with I'd like to give you a brief background of myself.
Originally from the Electronics Community dating back to the 80's with the US Marine Corps Electronic Signals work and expanding to the commercial industries in the late 80's.
Primarily I have been a field service technician for the land mobile radio (LMR) industry. I had my first opportunity to enter the marketing and sales industry working with Motorola Sales Teams.
I found balance between the technical work that I enjoy and the marketing methods used by the best in the industry.
Today Marketing is Truly High Tech!
What I learned in the 80's and what I designed in the late 90's is still today the best methods of marketing online and the method is used in print publications daily.
Why reinvent the wheel if you don't have too?
eTown Shopping could have taken the many different routes like so many companies online do.
To run a successful store online today you need at minimum the following:
Hosting Company, Webmaster, Programmer, SEO adviser.
If you search you'll find very few that do it all. We don't even do it all. We have multiple hosting services and the programming is on a as needed due to project time limitations.
Where in that list of services is Merchant or Reseller?
It's not listed for one simple reason. You have to have everything I stated prior to starting your store or you might be running the game of "Change" for a very long time.

Our mission here is to provide the best marketing applications at the lowest price when comparing services.
We promise to help the small business community within our national boundaries by promoting products made in the USA prior to any others.
We do not have a corporate management team that makes policy changes daily. We work just like you do each and every day and our mission to make you successful in your business online is our primary focus.
The Goals at eTown Shopping Mall
Our main goal is to provide an alternative to auction and classified advertisement sites. We create small to large stores for merchants based on the total number of products.
We do not plan at this time to change our price structures. We based everything on your typically online marketing budget of 10% to 15%. The only difference between our merchant and reseller plans is hosted domain names or sub domain names or single product sales in our main shopping mall.
Three different store types and all offer the advanced marketing applications.
We want to make you successful and measure our success by your success on a month to month bases.
